SMSTOnly seven days were needed for A1 Offshore Solutions ApS and SMST between contract signing and mobilisation of the SMST motion compensated gangway on board the Eurus Express.

The Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) is now equipped to transfer technicians from vessel to transition piece in the
Hornsea Project One offshore wind farm.

The installation of the rental gangway, SMST’s Telescopic Access Bridge (TAB) M-series, including 4 stacking modules for working on height, took place in Bremerhaven. When leaving the port, the operators of A1 Offshore Solutions ApS are trained on board by the SMST personnel.

The PSV Eurus Express, with Grimsby as home port, is contracted by GeoSea to support the installation of transition pieces in the offshore wind farm located 120km off the Yorkshire coast. The vessel will be performing its work for a period of 45 days, with an optional extension of the rental period.

The SMST modular gangway M-series, which are available for purchase or rent, is suitable for a variety of vessels and operational situations. It has a small footprint, is transportable by normal container truck, and can be mobilised quickly in one lift.

Earlier this month, Damen Shipyards awarded SMST a contract for the delivery of an Access & Cargo Tower and 3D Motion Compensated Crane for the new build Service Operation Vessel (SOV) of Bibby Marine Services.

The SMST package includes a 3D crane, elevator, and motion compensated gangway. The Access & Cargo Tower enables stepless transfer, up to a wave height of 3.5m. The landing height adjustment system of the Access & Cargo Tower provides access to platforms up to 26m above sea level.
