TÜV SÜD and IX Wind join forces in Taiwan and Japan

TÜV SÜD and IX Wind have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to cooperate in various wind power industry services in Taiwan and Japan.

The MOU, signed in January, sets out the companies’ willingness to collaborate on performance improvement and turbine inspections, in addition to full scope of supply quality management and control. The new collaboration will also offer due diligence to developers, investors, banks, and insurance companies. Describing the collaboration as ‘a one stop shop for quality and safety’, TÜV SÜD and IX Wind say their shared priority is quality and HSE for customers.

At the start of a wind project, IX Wind will focus on project support, tender preparations, and contractual matters, while TÜV SÜD’s expertise lies in WTG type certification, project certification, and wind quality surveillance services – including testing, inspection, certification, and training. IX Wind will subsequently supervise and inspect on-site delivery and verify contract compliance.
