TKF scores Hollandse Kust Noord cable contract

TKF has secured a contract with Van Oord to supply 140 km of 66 kV inter array cables for the
Hollandse Kust Noord offshore wind farm, located in the North Sea.

The contracted scope for TKF in HKN includes the manufacturing and delivery of the aluminium core cables and accessories. The wind farm is located approximately 18 km from the Dutch coast, nearby Egmond aan Zee.

The
Hollandse Kust Noord wind farm is expected to be operational by 2023 with an installed capacity of 759 MW, generating at least 3.3 TWh per year. The wind farm will be located 18.5 km off the Dutch coast, near the town of Egmond aan Zee. Is it being developed subsidy free by the CrossWind consortium, a joint venture between Shell and Eneco.
