Two Chinese wind farms reach full commissioning

Two new offshore wind farms in China have been fully commissioned this week. Both projects are located in the southern waters of Nanri Island, Xiuyu District, Putian City.

The two projects, Fujian Putian City Flat Bay (Zone F) and Shicheng Fishing Port (Shicheng Project), were developed by Fujian Fu Neng Energy Co., Ltd and represent a combined investment of 7.45 billion yuan (approx. £0.84 billion).

Construction for the Zone F project kicked off in summer 2018 with the Shicheng Project following in April 2019. They each consist of 29 turbines mounted on bottom fixed foundations and have a combined capacity of 400 MW.
