Vos Prodect scores contract for Arcadis Ost 1

Vos Prodect has been contracted by JDR Cable Systems to supply the Cable Hang-Off Systems for the Arcadis Ost 1 offshore wind farm in Germany.

By the end of Q2 2022, Vos Prodect will deliver sealed Cable Hang-Off Systems, securing the submarine power cables to the top of the monopile and offshore substation.

The inter-array cables for Arcadis Ost 1 will be supplied by JDR and will be installed by Global Offshore. By late 2023, when the offshore wind park is scheduled to be operational, the generated wind energy will be able to supply 290,000 households.

The Arcadis Ost 1 wind farm will have a capacity of about 257 MW and is located in the Baltic Sea, 19 km north-east of the island of Rügen, within the 12 nautical mile zone of the Federal State Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. Parkwind secured grid capacity for the project in the offshore wind auction in Germany back in 2018. Offshore installation works are expected to start works in 2022. It is expected to be operational in 2023, and will be capable of generating enough green electricity for the annual power consumption of more than 290,000 homes.
