Vos Prodect secures Baltic Eagle contract

Vos Prodect has been commissioned to deliver all sealed Cable Hang-Off Systems for the Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm, which is located in the Baltic Sea (Germany), next to Rügen Island.

Specifically for this project, a tailored load test program has been created, that will be executed at the bespoke test facility of Vos Prodect in Klazienaveen. In this test program, the cables of TKF have been tested collectively with the systems of Vos Prodect to ensure compatibility.

Vos Prodect has to deliver the Cable Hang-Off Systems by the end of Q3 of 2022. The project is scheduled to be fully operational by the end of 2024.

Iberdrola's 476 MW Baltic Eagle project is being developed off the island of Rügen, in the German waters of the Baltic Sea. The project, which will span a 40 km2 area, is expected to be completed in 2024 and consists of 50 Vestas V174-9.5MW wind turbines. Baltic Eagle will connect to the Lubmin substation through two high voltage cables. It is Iberdrol's second array to be built in the Baltic Sea. The first was Wikinger.
