WEM vessels soon to be delivered

Wind Energy Marine (WEM) announced that the first two vessels of their fleet, the WEM 1 & 2, have now left Vietnam and are on passage to Rotterdam.

WEM say that it is delighted with the build that Piriou Vietnam has completed and that WEM 1 & 2 performed well, exceeding all expectations during sea trials. The vessels share both the same length, 27.5m, and also the same crew capacity of 24.

Andrew Bagshaw, Managing Director of WEM, said, "Our intention is to increase the size of our fleet, utilising the work of shipbuilders Piriou Vietnam amongst others."

The vessels are expected to arrive later this month. After delivery to Rotterdam, both vessels are expected to begin operations in Northern Germany.
