BorWin4 has a total route length of around 280 kilometers, around 125 kilometers of which at sea. The onshore grid connection point is Hanekenfähr. Hanekenfähr is particularly suitable since the Emsland nuclear power plant will be taken offline in 2022 freeing up capacity.
