BorWin5 Converter

BorWin5 is the fourth project that TenneT is realising off the coast of Borkum using direct current technology.  Total length ~230 km (Onshore cables ~110 km; Offshore cables ~120 km). Landfall in Hilgenriedersiel and connect to a new converter station in Garrel/Ost close to Cloppenburg. The 900 MW EnBW He Dreiht wind farm will connect to the converter by direct 66 kV cables.
