DolWin6 Converter

DolWin6 is a 900 MW DC connection with associated converter platform DolWin kappa. Power is transported from the converter platform to Hilgenriedersiel on the mainland by an approximately 45 km long subsea cable. From the landfall in Hilgenriedersiel the electricity is transmitted to Emden via another 45 km land cable where TenneT is building an onshore converter to feed power into the onshore grid. Completion is scheduled for 2023. The converter platform will also be connected to Dolwin Beta
