IJmuiden Ver Gamma Converter

TenneT will build an offshore converter (66 kV HVAC to 525 kV HVDC) with a 2 GW capacity. Two 525 kV subsea cables will connect to an onshore converter (525 Kv HVDC to 380 kV HVAC). The onshore converter requires 4 hectares. An underground cable then connects to the HV station Amaliahaven on the Maasvlakte, which is yet to be built.
