CGO WTIV (name tbc)

Heavy Maintenance and Construction

Vessel image
Woori Technology announced in July 2020 that subsidiary CGO intends to construct a WTIV although has yet to release details on the design. A later statement in August informs that design plans have been ongoing since 2014 and that CGO is now discussing construction with major shipbuilders and financial investors, with plans to place the order soon for delivery in 2022. CGO states that it will have a price competitiveness of 50-60% in comparison to European vessels.

The vessel may be followed by a second, larger vessel, with which CGO hopes to expand to the Taiwanese and European markets.
