Normand Clipper

Cable Installation

4C Offshore | Normand Clipper
Normand Clipper underwent major conversion work in 2005 to enable it to work in deepwater subsea construction and umbilical lay. The vessel has two work class ROVs onboard.

In 2020 upgrades include addition of 4,000 tonne cable carousel, two 15 ton cable tensioners, a 25 ton quadrant deployment frame and a fully integrated control system to enable improved efficiency. The large open back deck allows for full lengths of constructed CPS to be stored, facilitating a shorter operational turnaround, and installing up to three inter array cables per day.
