24 Mar 2023: Update 28/11/2023: Cerulean winds have signed all three of their INTOG exclusivity agreements. Cerulean Winds and Frontier Power International have been awarded three lease options for the Central North Sea in the highly competitive INTOG leasing round, the results of which were announced by Crown Estate Scotland on 24 March 2023. Cerulean Winds will be looking to pay option fees amounting to £67m, £35m and £35m for the three TOG respective projects. Crown Estate Scotland (CES) has announced the results of the INTOG round. 13 projects out of 19 applications have been offered Exclusivity Agreements. 5 IN projects, totalling just over 139km2 and 499 MW, will be offered a 25-year seabed lease. 8 TOG projects, totalling 1534km2 and 5GW, will be offered a 50-year seabed lease. If the projects accept the agreement, development work can be initiated and Marine Scotland will complete the INTOG Sectoral Marine Plan (SMP). If the project is successful in the SMP, an option agreement will be offered and it will subsequently go through planning, consenting and financing phases. After these phases are complete, the project can progress onto a full seabed lease. Option agreements are expected in 2024 after the SMP finalisation and will earn CES roughly £262m in applicant fees. To secure an option agreement, developers must also provide a Supply Chain Development Statement (SCDS).
