Offshore Wind farms in Australia

Australia has 58 offshore wind farm projects of which none currently operating, none where construction has progressed enough to connect the turbines and generate electricity, none are in the build phase, and none are either consented or have applied for consent. You can access over 80 data sets on each wind farm subject to your access level and drill down to see items such as:

on project 'Seadragon' on Wednesday, 03 January 2024, the following was announced: 'Early Marine Survey referral has been published and is awaiting referral decision. Under this referral, Seadragon Offshore Wind Pty Ltd proposes to undertake early marine surveys as a component of the preliminary investigations for feasibility. Surveys proposed in the referral include: geophysical survey, geotechnical survey, and metocean / LiDAR buoy deployment.'

How does the database work?

4C Offshore marine intelligence software provides you with exclusive access to a range of specialised services including the Global Offshore Wind Farm Database. 4C Offshore grants you exclusive access to online and offline databases, reports, newsletters, online tools and more.

There are three levels of access: Free, Freemium and Full. Freemium allows you to personalise notifications, use the search function and access more data.
