Ørsted applied for a marine license to carry out additional corrosion monitoring activities during close out of the 5 year corrosion inspection plans . Work would involve short term water level monitoring, supported by correlating water quality measurements, in order to confirm that the internal water column remains both confined and oxygen depleted. This assumption of a stable water column is essential to establishing a corrosion map of the internal foundations, and will be supported by the data gained from the installation of water level and water quality logging equipment.
