Modular Offshore Grid (MOG) Converter

The Modular Offshore Grid (MOG) includes an offshore platform to provide a connection to shore for new wind farms in Belgium. Located approximately 40km from the coast of Zeebrugge, two 220kV subsea cables will link the platform with the onshore Stevin substation, so that wind energy may be directly injected into the Belgian grid. The project is essentially a switchyard with no transformers and will cater for Rentel, Northwester 2, Mermaid and SeaStar. Export cable to shore is 28cm in diameter
