nCentric connect wind farm

nCentric was chosen by Senvion- Elpix AG to provide the Nordsee Ost offshore wind farm, as well as the vessels working on the array, with a minimum of 20Mbps internet connection.

“With our nCentric solutions and using our latest Mesh development nCentric succeeded to do so”, Marc Vereecken, Sales Manager nCentric said.

The 20Mbps connection speed allows for faster communications between vessels and the onshore base of operations. Alongside this, the time delay on data transference is reduced.

The Nordsee Ost wind farm comprises 48 6MW wind turbines installed approximately 35km north of the island of Heligoland and produces 295MW output. Senvion was responsible for the operation and maintenance of the WTGs in the first five years of operation, with options to extend the contract.
