Other innogy placed the first German corporate Green Bond worth $850m on 13th Oct 2017. innogy’s inaugural Green Bond is an interest-bearing security, whose issue proceeds are used to refinance sustainable projects. The proceeds of innogy´s first Green Bond will be used to refinance four offshore projects in the UK and Germany. Direct communication with innogy confirmed these projects are:

Gwynt y Môr (in operation, 576 MW, UK, innogy SE share 50%)

Offshore Substation The jacket foundation for the offshore substation, weighing more than 1,400 tons, has been successfully placed on the seabed. The foundation travelled from Aalborg in Denmark from where it set sail for a five-day journey across the North Sea to the port of Eemshaven in the Netherlands. The 50m tall foundation was anchored with four piles on the four pedestals at the bottom of the sea: each pile weighs over 240 tons and has a length of over 67m.

Financial Close Northland Power Inc and RWE Innogy announced that the EUR 1.2bn Nordsee One Wind Farm has reached financial close. Approximately 70% of the project’s required costs will be provided from an €840 million non-recourse secured construction and term loan and related loan facilities from ten international commercial lenders. Reflecting the strength of Nordsee One, the financing was oversubscribed. The lending group includes ABN AMRO, Bank of Montreal, Commerzbank, Export Development Canada, Helaba, KfW IPEX, National Bank of Canada, Natixis, Rabobank and The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi. Originally due in 2012 the decision to build the project was then scheduled for 2013. The reason for the delay was that the developer was waiting for the government to confirm who will pay for connection delays.
Nordsee One will opt for the Accelerated Model regarding subsidy payments for the wind farm's power generation. The project will receive: €194/MWh for the first eight years, €154/MWh for an additional 1.6 years, then the greater of the local market price of €39/MWh for remaining 9.6 to 20 years of operation. The additional 1.6 years of €154/MWh is an extension of subsidy calculated according to Nordsee One's distance between the system and coast (for every full nautical mile over twelve) and water depth (for each full metre exceeding 20 metres).
