San Cibrao Floating Wind Farm

21 May 2021: Iberdrola has applied for permits to carry out surveys for the 490 MW San Cibrao offshore wind project. Consultations will be held 17.06.2021. The project is located in the Northwest of the Iberian Peninsula, in the community of Galicia, north of the province of A Coruña, on the Atlantic Ocean and east of Cape Ortegal. This area has been chosen for its excellent wind resource, which is one of the highest in Galicia and in the entire national territory The San Cibrao Marine Wind Farm is located, at its closest point, about 13.5 km from the coast between Cape Ortegal and Cape Estaca de Bares and occupies an area of about 128 km squared. .
