4C is now TGS
We are excited to announce a significant milestone in 4C Offshore's journey. Our integration into the TGS family marks the beginning of a new era in offshore wind market intelligence.
This latest MPC22 will benefit from a Volvo Penta Integrated Propulsion System (IPS). According to Ctruk the propulsion system reduces fuel consumption; produces less CO2 emissions; offers extra manoeuvrability and bollard pull; provides a longer cruising range and enables a higher top speed. The IPS, controlled by joystick and driving twin propellers, also offers improved dynamic positioning. CTruk Chief Executive Officer Andy White: “The range of wind farms in planning, construction and operation demands a suitable range of transfer solutions. Given the alternative power and propulsion configurations, the fleet of CWind boats now in use has a wide range of equipment to meet requirements and operational needs,” he added. “Versatility is an important factor as operators look for greater efficiency in their fleets and this will become even more important as offshore wind farms move further offshore.”
The CWind Artimus was handed over at Seawork International in Southampton in June of this year. She is already successfully operating out of Ramsgate and supporting London Array Offshore Wind Farm on a contract announced last month.
