Governor Hochul announces support of New York’s 10 point action plan

As part of the State’s $500 million investment commitment to establishing an offshore wind supply chain, NYSERDA has issued a $200 million Supportive Manufacturing and Logistics Request for Proposals (RFP) for infrastructure and manufacturing facilities in New York requiring small to moderate-sized financial assistance. This competitive solicitation is informed by industry feedback collected through a Request for Information in fall of 2023.

Proposers to this supply chain RFP will be required to demonstrate how State funding will leverage significant private investments in supply chain projects and are encouraged to demonstrate that funds awarded by the State are the final funds needed to develop a project. Proposals are due by 3:00 p.m. ET on August 13, 2024.

Request for Information to Inform Next Offshore Wind Solicitation and $300 Million Major Component Supply Chain RFP

NYSERDA today issued a Request for Information (RFI) to invite industry stakeholders to review and comment on the potential structure of the State’s next Offshore Wind Renewable Energy Certificate (OREC) solicitation, planned for summer of 2024. The RFI will also collect input on the design of a coordinated solicitation for at least $300 million to attract investments in major offshore wind supply chain component manufacturing and port upgrades to accommodate primary component manufacturing. Responses are due on May 21, 2024 by 3:00 p.m. ET.

The announcement represents New York’s unwavering commitment to economic growth and a clean energy future and supports the State’s progress toward achieving the goals of the 2019 Climate Act, including obtaining 70% of the State’s electricity from renewable sources by 2030.
