Turbine Transfers supports major projects

Turbine Transfers has announced it has supplied a further vessel to support E.On at the Robin Rigg Wind Farm in the Solway Firth.

The company’s 19m CTV ABERDARON BAY is the fifth Turbine Transfer vessel now working at the site.

Meanwhile, in the Netherlands, and further good news for the Welsh-based company, Turbine Transfers has commenced work for Van Oord on project Gemini, one of the world’s largest offshore wind farms, also supplying five CTVs to assist with the construction phase.

Two of the vessels lined up for this exciting project are the brand new state of the art 21m HOLYHEAD BAY, built on Anglesey by Turbine Transfers’ sister company Holyhead Marine Services and the 21m TREARDDUR BAY, the first vessel in the world with the new Voith Linear Jet propulsion system.

Commenting on the news, Turbine Transfers’ Managing Director J Mark Meade said,
