Saare 1 Floating Wind Farm

29 Feb 2024: Update March 2024: The auction ended without a single bid. Devlopers Respect Energy Holdings S.A and OÜ Utilitas Wind took part in the auction, but no winner was announced. TTJA will now accept new construction permit applications from developers interested in this site. The Consumer Protection and Technical Supervision Agency (TTJA) have announced that the area of Saare 1 will be the next are up for sale in Estonia's third offshore wind auction. Building permit applications have been put forward by Aker Offshore Wind Europe GmbH, Respect Energy Holding SA, UAB "Ignitis renewables projektai 6" and OÜ Utilitas Wind. The auction itself will take place on 27th February 2024 at 12:00 Estonian time (UTC +2) and conclude on 29th February 2024 at 12:00 Estonian time. This marks a short auction timeframe, with previous auction rounds lasting six days. Due to a small number of applicants that may still decrease by the time the auction is underway, as well as previous auctions being won after a single bid, Estonia may be envisioning that this will be the case during this auction round. The starting price for this area is €1.3 mil with a €26,400 deposit required no later than 23rd February 2024. The application deadline for developers to declare their interest in the auction is 15th February 2024.
