Bluefort berthed in Bahamas

Bridgemans Services Group’s floatel, MV Bluefort, is currently located in Freeport, Bahamas, undergoing upgrades and positioning for an undisclosed contract. The vessel has been deployed on a number of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe, providing accommodation support.

The 142 metre vessel features 210 single cabins and is equipped with a Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) boat landing, helicopter pad, large dry-storage and covered deck space for containers, walk-in freezers, a fitness centre, medical treatment and hospital facilities, management offices, meeting rooms and a 200 seat briefing theatre.

The vessel has previously supported operations at the Wikinger offshore wind farm located 30 km north-east of the German island of Rugen, in the North Sea. The vessel provided accommodation whilst technicians were transferred around the wind farm by CTVs. It provided similar support to MHI Vestas back in 2017, when the latter was servicing turbines in Belgian waters.
