Denmark's 800MW offshore wind farm plans

Denmark's Energy, Supply and Climate Minister Lars Christian Lilleholt announced the Governments intentions of building a new 800MW offshore wind farm.

Lars Christian Lilleholt said. "As part of our new Energy initiative Regerignen will build one of the world's largest offshore wind farms of 800 MW. The park will be able to supply Denmark's seven largest cities with green flow year round, significantly reduce CO2 emissions and create thousands of Danish jobs"

This new proposed wind farm will be joining the currently under-construction Kriegers Flak. A couple of months ago the wind farm had its second offshore substation Gravity Based Foundation (GBF) installed.

Kriegers Flak is set to become Denmark's largest wind farm with a capacity of 600MW which will be provided by 72 SG 8.0-167 DD.

The proposed wind will help Denmark reach its fossil fuel free goal of 2050 set out by Lars Christian Lilleholt.
