EEW Special Pipe Constructions GmbH received the order from Nobelwind NV, developers of the Nobelwind OWF, for the manufacture of 50 Monopiles and one Monopile foundation for the the projects substation.

The foundations will be produced from EEW's facility in Rostock from March 2016 to August 2016. This is the third order from a wind farm in Belgium, previous orders placed for Belwind and Northwind  both of which use Monopile foundations.

Nobelwind NV is a joint venture between companies Meewind, Parkwind and Sumitomo. Nobelwind offshore wind farm , located in Belgium, will be installed 46 km off the coast at Zeebrugge. It will consist of 50 V112-3.3 Vestas wind turbines generating 3.3 MW each, giving the project a total 165 MW capacity. Nobelwind will be connected to the Belgian power grid through an export cable previously installed by Jan De Nul in 2013 and will provide renewable energy to 197,000 families.

EEW recently opened a manufacturing facility, Offshore Structures (Britain) Ltd. (OSB), in Stockton, on the river Tees, UK. OSB is a joint venture between the German steel fabricator EEW Special Pipe Constructions GmbH and the Danish steel construction company Bladt Industries A/S.
