FRS Windcat wins 50Hertz five year contract

FRS Windcat Offshore Logistics (FWOL) has been awarded a five-year contract providing crew transfer services in the Baltic by Transmissions Systems Operator (TSO) 50Hertz. The TSO has had Windcat 28 on charter since October 2012 and will continue to operate the vessel from the Port of Rostock. Windcat 42 has also been under contract for them since the summer of 2018 working from the Port of Sassnitz.
Windcat 42 has the WindGrip system installed onboard which is a patented self tensioning system used during transfers improving safety and reducing fuel consumption. 50Hertz was the first Windcat client to charter the MK 3.5 design from Windcat and has been very satisfied with the performance. Windcat 40 will also be used to deliver the contract.
FWOL is a joint-venture between FRS Offshore GmbH & Co. KG and Windcat Workboats.
