The Greater Changhua 1 and 2a offshore wind farm proudly announces the successful installation of all 111 turbines, marking a historic milestone for the first large-scale offshore wind project in Taiwan.

Surpassing all expectations, Greater Changhua 1 and 2a has now become the largest offshore wind farm in the Asia-Pacific region in terms of capacity and the highest number of installed wind turbines. Notably, it holds the record as the farthest offshore wind farm in the region.

The Greater Changhua 1 project, boasting a 605 MW capacity, is a joint venture between Ørsted (50%), Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), and Cathay PE, holding a combined ownership stake of 50%. The successful installation marks a crucial step towards the project's completion, with the team now focused on final commissioning work.

As Taiwan solidifies its position as a leader in the renewable energy sector, Greater Changhua 1 and 2a stands as a shining example of the nation's commitment to sustainable and clean energy sources.
