Manor Renewable Energy secures new Survey Vessel

Manor Renewable Energy (MRE) announced the purchase of the Isambard Brunel, which will join the fleet as the company’s new survey vessel. This follows the announcement of the launch of MRE’s new survey department, offering hydrographic and geophysical survey services.

Following the first charter for MRE, the vessel, due to be renamed Manor Brunel, will undergo engineering works, survey equipment updates and repainting at the Manor Marine site in Portland, Dorset with further refit work scheduled for later in the year.


Alex Richards, Survey Manager at MRE said, “The addition of a dedicated survey vessel to the MRE fleet is a tremendously exciting development for the company and will enable us to deliver a first-rate survey service to our clients.”

The company was established in 2013, delivering temporary power and engineering solutions for offshore energy projects. In addition Isambard Brunel, it operates four vessels which have been outfitted to provide crew transfer services and support its temporary power projects. MRE has been active on a number of offshore wind farms in Europe.
