Ocean Winds Polish BC-Wind project to increase capacity from 399MW to 500MW

During a suppliers’ day meeting of the BC-Wind project for Polish and foreign companies the Director of BC-Wind, Kacper Kostrzewa announced the decision to increase the farm's capacity by 101MW, which will allow the installation of more wind turbines on the BC-Wind farm.

Currently, at 500MW, depending on the turbine supplier, the company is considering installing from 28 to 34 turbines – implemented by Ocean Winds in Poland.


On December 30, 2022, Ocean Winds submitted an appropriate application to Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne SA, which was completed on January 16th this year. and August 29th this year. the company received a decision to change the connection conditions. The change concerns connection to the C-Wind network forming the BC-Wind farm.

BC-Wind is an offshore wind farm located approximately 23 kilometers north of the coast, near the communes of Krokowa and Choczewo in the Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Ocean Winds plans to begin operations of the BC-Wind commercial wind farm in 2027
