Sæby nearshore sees deadline extension

The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) has extended the EIA public hearing deadline for the Sæby nearshore wind farm. The new deadline for comments is 24 August, 2015.

The deadline is extended to give locale MPs, in the newly elected parliament, and others better opportunity to comment on the EIA.

You can find the EIA (in Danish only) including a non-technical summary and the background reports under Preliminary Surveys. Some of the background reports are in Danish and some are in English.

An expected amount of 20 - 66 turbines will be installed on the site each rated at an undecided 3MW -10MW, with and overall hoped capacity of 200MW.

The project hopes to be fully commissioned by 2020.
