The ambitious Changfang & Xidao (CFXD) Offshore Wind Project, set to become a cornerstone of Taiwan's renewable energy landscape, has achieved a significant milestone by successfully installing 50% of its towering wind turbines.

The project, located off the coast of Changhua County, has its sights set on the momentous goal of completing all turbine installations by the close of this year.

Boasting a formidable 600 MW grid capacity allocation, the CFXD Project's strategic endeavor involves erecting an impressive array of 62 V174 9.6MW offshore wind turbines, sourced from the industry-leading
Vestas.

Notably, the V174 9.6MW model currently holds the distinguished title of being the largest commercially available turbine within the Asia-Pacific (APAC) market, further fortified by its typhoon certification—a testament to its robust design.

Undertaking the intricate process of turbine deployment is the steadfast jack-up installation vessel, aptly named the
Bold Tern. This stalwart vessel has been purposefully mobilized to spearhead CFXD's turbine installation campaign, a task that comes with immense technical precision and logistical coordination.

The CFXD Project, driven by its unwavering commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions, is racing against time to finalize all turbine installations by the conclusion of the current year. Once this colossal feat is accomplished, the project is poised to inject a substantial dose of clean, renewable energy into the region.

The electricity generated from these turbines is projected to supply the power needs of approximately 650,000 Taiwanese households, marking a significant stride towards reducing the nation's carbon footprint and ensuring a greener future.

As the world looks on, anticipating the fruition of the Changfang & Xidao Offshore Wind Project, the successful installation of 50% of its turbines serves as a tangible testament to human ingenuity, engineering prowess, and the unwavering pursuit of sustainable energy sources.
