IJmuiden Ver Beta Converter

Windfarms within Ijmuiden Ver area will connect to shared offshore HVDC converter platforms and the voltage level is transformed from 66 kiloVolts AC (kV) to 525 kV DC. Export cables will reach landfall and route to an onshore converter station which transforms power to 380 kV AC. Power connects to the National Grid at the existing 380 kV high-voltage station on the Maasvlakte.
