Offshore Wind farms in Belgium

Belgium has 16 offshore wind farm projects of which 12 currently operating, none where construction has progressed enough to connect the turbines and generate electricity, none are in the build phase, and 3 are either consented or have applied for consent. You can access over 80 data sets on each wind farm subject to your access level and drill down to see items such as:

on project 'Princess Elisabeth Zone Lot 1' on Monday, 01 January 2024, the following was announced: 'Update 3rd February 2023: The Government updated the schedule for the PEZ with approximately 1 year delay. The aim is to have the Royal Decree on the procedure and criteria of the tender promulgated and published in the Belgian Official Gazette by 2024 at the latest.

Update January 2022: The draft versions of the implementing decrees will be announced in 2022, for final approvals in 2023 and 2024.

Update April 2021: The Royal Decree on tenders will be issued in 2022. Publication of the tender expected Q3 2023 and the tender bidding window will be held and awarded in Q2 and Q3 2024.
Relevant legislation initiatives for the tender will be organised in 2022 e.g. site descriptions in a royal decree etc.'
