Nordsee Cluster A - N-3.7 Offshore Wind Farm

31 May 2023: Update 23/06/2023: The permit applications were made public for consultation until 25th August. N-3.7 includes the construction and operation of a total of 16 x 15 MW offshore wind turbines with a hub height of 146.2 m LAT and a rotor diameter of 236 m. Total capacity with grid connection is 225 MW. It will use monopile foundations (max diameter of 11m) for the turbines, as well as 27 km of 66 kV array cables and an offshore substation with either monopile/jacket substructure. N-3.8 includes the construction and operation of a total of 30 x 15 MW offshore wind turbines with a hub height of 146.2 m LAT and a rotor diameter of 236 m. Total capacity with grid connection is 435 MW. It will use monopile foundations (max diameter of 11m) for the turbines, as well as 52 km of 66 kV array cables and an offshore substation with either monopile/jacket substructure. Foundation installation is expected to start Q3 2025. Installation of the offshore substation is expected to start Q1 2026. Array cable installation is expected to start Q1 2026. Turbine installation expected to start Q2 2026. Commissioning is expected to begin Q3 2026. Update 31/05/2023: RWE has submitted two permit applications for Nordseecluster A (site N-3.7 and N-3.8) to the BSH. Applications yet to be made available for consultation.
