The six french offshore wind projects which received tariffs in the region of €200/MWh in 2012 and 2014 have received approval to progress by President Macron and Environment Minister Hulot with a new tariff of €150/MWh. This follows the dispute that the original tariffs were deemed too high compared to other projects around the world and factoring in technological advancements.
The four projects of 2012, are three from Eolien Maritime France (Fécamp, St-Nazaire and Courseulles-sur-Mer) and Ailes Marines SAS' St-Brieuc project, and the two projects awarded in 2014 of the Engie led consortium (Les Iles d'Yeu et Noirmoutier and Dieppe-Le Tréport).
