First onshore launch of SGRE. Medium-wind design covering a broad range of sites SG 4.5-145: low technological risk based on Siemens Gamesa’s broad know-how of wind turbine technology. The first SG 4.5-145 prototype installation is planned for 2018, and the Type Certificate is expected for the first half of 2019. Siemens Gamesa leveraged its offshore wind power leadership to develop a special configuration of its onshore wind turbines adapted to a nearshore environment. seven SG 4.5-145 were supplied for the first phase of the No. 5 Thanh Hai wind farm project (32 MW), located between 2 km and 5 km off the coast. It will also provide service and maintenance for 10 years.
