19 Jul 2023: Update (July 2023): Rhode Island Energy has chosen to not move forward on the sole bid received on its long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) from Revolution Wind 2. Rhode Island Energy stated that the proposal did not meet all the requirements detailed in the Affordable Clean Energy Security (ACES) Act. Update (June 2023): The deadline for Rhode Island Energy to make its decision has been extended to 19th July 2023. If successful, contracts will now be negotiated and executed by 11th October 2023 and submitted for PUC approval by 11th December 2023. Previous: Rhode Island Energy will make a decision on the tender submission by 21st June 2023. IT is making its decision on this lone bid based on price. If successful, contracts will be negotiated and executed by 13th September 2023 and submitted for PUC approval by 13th November 2023.
