Operations Assistant
Purpose of the role:
The primary objective of this position is to support the Subsea cables consultancy team with day-to-day business functions. The incumbent will gain an in-depth understanding into the operations of a marine subsea cable consultancy team and become an integral part of the team with opportunities in commercial or project management functions.
Roles and Responsibilities
· Oversee and coordinate the procurement stages for the technical team, including the creation and issuing of invoices to clients.
· Creation and governance of project tracker to give an overview of milestones and facilitate the prioritisation of activity across the department.
· Preparing and providing a project analysis to management
· Point of contact with client accounts queries, monitor and report on the payment cycle
· Client/Tender portal administration
· Tender administration and coordination – tracking tender deadlines and progress
· Collaborating with team members to understand and communicate project requirements from contracts and facilitate compliance.
· Liaise with internal to ensure project bids are delivered with the appropriate solution and time-frame, and with client-focused mind set.
· Attend conferences and events where required.
Job Requirements
· Background or experience in marine survey or offshore construction industry
· Bachelors degree preferred
Knowledge, Skills and attributes
· Solution focussed with the ability to manage problems with little supervision
· Highly computer literate
· Strong written report or tender writing skills
· Excellent organisational skills
· Must be self motivated and able to work autonomously whilst supporting a global and remote team
Working Hours & Wages:
- 5 days per week (37.5 hours)
- Dependent on experience and qualifications £30k per annum.
