€450 million offshore wind contract for Boskalis

Boskalis has received a contract worth approximately €450 million to transport and install monopile foundations substations for an offshore wind farm. The company has not named the project or indicated its location.

Boskalis has a successful track record in offshore wind in Europe, which has expanded to embrace Asian markets and more recently the United States' east coast. The company offers marine transport and installation capabilities with its Bokalift 1 and 2 crane vessels. It also owns a versatile heavy transport fleet, suitable for large-scale offshore wind projects.

According to the company, this contract ties up a year of crane vessel utilization days aplus the equivalent of two years of heavy transport vessels. The project execution is scheduled to commence in 2023; engineering and preconstruction works have already commenced.
