DEME has entered into an agreement with German shipping and logistics company Harren & Partner to sell the DP2 jack-up installation vessel
Thor.

The vessel is sold after a career of more than 10 years in the DEME fleet, whereby it was largely deployed for the installation and maintenance of offshore wind farms.

Thor was among the first jack-up vessels to be used in the installation of offshore wind farms. The vessel was built in Poland in 2010 and has support a number of European projects. It measures 70 metres in length with a bread of 40 metres. The vessel is equipped with a 500 tonne crane and 1850m2 of open deck space. It has accommodation for up to 56 people.

DEME has a fleet of five jack-up installation vessels. Soon DEME will again add to the fleet when it welcomes the new DP3 offshore installation vessel
Orion, which features a 5,000-tonne crane. Meanwhile, in Taiwan, DEME and its partner CSBC are building Green Jade.
