Diverse Marine has launched Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) Seacat Weatherly. The 24m vessel is a Chartwell 24 design and has been under construction at the yard in Cowes on the Isle of Wight. The vessel will be able to carry up to 24 passengers on board and is to be classed by DNV GL.
Delivery to Seacat Services is expected next month and the vessel will be starting a contract working on Sheringham Shoal OWF shortly after.
Weatherly is the 13th vessel in the fleet and will be joined by Seacat Rainbow in August, also under construction at Diverse Marine. Seacat Services announced yesterday (4th June 2020) that it had sold two vessels, Seacat Resolute and Seacat Vigilant, to CWind Taiwan.
Diverse Marine has a long history in the construction and upgrade of CTVs for the offshore wind industry. As well as the two vessels for Seacat Services, the yard is currently building CTV
Iceni Valour and is refurbishing Iceni Courage plus extending the vessel by 3.6m.
