Turbine installation is underway at the
ChangFang and Xidao wind farms with the first turbine now standing at the site.

Installation of the turbines is being completed by Fred. Olsen Windcarrier using its jack-up vessel
Bold Tern. Under its contract, Fred. Olsen Windcarrier will install 62 MHI Vestas V174-9.5 MW turbines.

The project will feature Vestas V174-9.5 MW™, with installation expected to start later this year. Each blade weighs 35 tons and are 85 meters in length. Production is being shared by Vestas and Tien Li manufacturing facility in Taichung, Taiwan in order to meet the required localisation requirements.

Located 13-15 km off the coast of Changhua County in Taiwan, the
ChangFang and Xidao (CFXD) wind farms has a planned capacity of 595MW. CFXD reached Financial Close in February 2020 and construction of the project is progressing as planned. The project obtained grid allocation in 2018. It is expected to start commercial operations in Q1 2024.

The wind farm is owned by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, Taiwan Life Insurance, TransGlobe Life and Global Power Synergy Public Company. CSBC Corporation, Taiwan is EPCI contractor for the two sites.
