GONDAN Shipyard launches Edda Breeze

GONDAN Shipyard in Figueras has launched a new Commissioning Service Operation Vessel, which has been built for the Norwegian shipowner Edda Wind AS.

The vessel, Edda Breeze, has a length of 88.3 m and a beam of 19.7 m, it has been designed by Salt Ship Design, and it is prepared for the installation of zero emission hydrogen technology.

The CSOV will be the 14th vessel constructed for a company with relations to the Østensjø Group. With an accommodation for 120 people, 93 technicians and 27 crew members, the vessel will support the Ocean Breeze during maintenance operations at the
Bard Offshore 1 wind farm in Germany. Edda Wind's charter agreement with Ocean Breeze started this year and has a firm period of 11 years.

The vessel will be equipped with a 3D Motion Compensated Crane and a motion compensated gangway with a maximum range of 28 m for personnel transfer and an integrated elevator with capacity up to 26 persons.
