Mingyang Smart Energy secures first order for MySE 14-260 turbines

Mingyang Smart Energy (MYSE) has won the bids from CGN for 700 MW of the 1 GW Fanshiyi offshore wind farm in Yangjiang, Guangdong, China.

Mingyang’s MySE 14-260 offshore wind turbines, the latest upgrade to the MySE 12-242, will make its domestic debut, with fifty units to be delivered in Q3, 2023.

Tenders for the Fanshiyi wind farm's turbines including tower, divided by three stages: 300 MW, 400 MW, 300 MW. With MYSE awarded delivery for two stages, it is yet to be announced who secured the remaining 300 MW order.

Construction of the wind farm is due to take place next year with full commissioning scheduled for late 2025. It is located 60 kilometres off the coast and has an average water depth of 40-48 metres.
