MHO Grimsby is currently supporting a search and rescue mission looking for the missing jet pilot after the US aircraft crashed into the North Sea. The F15C single seater aircraft took off from RAF Lakenheath this morning on a routine training flight. Following a Mayday call, the RNLI launched lifeboats from Bridlington and Scarborough. The Coastguard helicopter from Humberside was also sent to the crash site, some 74km off the coast. Nearby vessels headed to the area to assist. MHO Grimsby operated by MHO & Co, is a 26m Crew Transfer Vessel.

Edda Mistral, an 81m Service Operational Vessel operated by Østensjø Rederi AS, is also believed to be supporting the operation. Both vessels are currently working Hornsea Project One for Ørsted.
