Ossian offshore wind farm launches new brand

Ossian Offshore Wind Farm Limited (Ossian) held an event at its project office in Glasgow to unveil the new brand to stakeholders from the offshore wind and energy industry.

The occasion provided an opportunity for Ossian's partners, including SSE Renewables, Marubeni, and CIP, to showcase the project's fresh logo and extend a warm welcome to colleagues and industry professionals at their central Glasgow location on Bothwell Street.

The brand, designed by Emperor, an employee owned creative consultancy, draws inspiration from the project's close association with the sea and the renowned literary series 'The Poems of Ossian'. The logo symbolizes the epic voyages and heroic conflicts of a third century Scottish warrior leader as he sails through vast oceans.

Expressing his satisfaction with the outcome, David Willson, Senior Project Manager for SSE Renewables, remarked: "In collaboration with our partners, we aimed to develop a brand that reflects our innovative outlook and the scale of our aspirations. We are pleased with the result and hope that as we progress towards building one of the world's largest floating wind farms, our brand becomes widely recognized."

Tomoki Nishino, President & CEO of Marubeni Europower, stated: "We take great pride in our international partnership and the combined experience and expertise our companies bring to the Ossian project. This milestone signifies our progress towards creating a world-class renewable energy asset and has provided an invaluable opportunity to connect with industry peers and project stakeholders."

Holly Cartwright, Ossian Development Lead from CIP, added: "Together with our project partners, we are excited to unveil our new brand and officially open the Ossian project office. We are prepared for the challenges ahead and eagerly anticipate welcoming stakeholders and suppliers to Glasgow as we move forward with Ossian towards completion, operation, and our significant contribution to the journey towards achieving net-zero emissions."

With the launch of their brand, Ossian Offshore Wind Farm embarks on an important phase of its development, driven by innovation, collaborative partnerships, and a steadfast commitment to the transition to renewable energy.
