As of early October, seven Senvion 6.2 M152 turbines have been installed at the Trianel Windpark Borkum II offshore wind farm. A total of six turbines have been commissioned at the German site.

Installation of the 32 offshore wind turbines is being completed in the North Sea, 45 kilometres north of Borkum, using Jan De Nul's jack-up installation vessel Taillevent. Each turbine will stand roughly 105m tall, with a rated power of 6.15 MW.

The first turbine was installed in early August but reportedly progress has been slow due to poor weather conditions. Earlier this year Trianel GmbH faced delays and was forced to adjust the turbine supply contract after Senvion filed for self-administration proceedings in April. The remaining 17 turbines are now expected to be delivered this autumn. Trianel GmbH expect delivery of the 32nd and final nacelle during November at the very latest. Full commissioning is still expected by the end of 2019. However weather delays could cause an extension into 2020.

The 203 MW project is backed by EWE AG (37.5%), the EWZ & Fontavis JV (24.51%), and 17 municipal utilities from Germany (37.99%). It is located in the direct vicinity of the 200 MW Trianel Windpark Borkum I project, which consists of 40 turbines and has been in operation since summer 2015.
