Sif in talks with potential US partner

Dutch foundation manufacturer Sif is in talks with a potential joint venture partner for offshore foundation manufacture in the United States of America.

The company mentioned the ongoing talks in its recent trading update, alongside other developments from Q3 2022. These included completing 32 monopiles and 28 transition pieces (TPs), and a license cooperation with GS Entec to assist in emerging Asian markets, especially converting its facility in Busan, South Korea into a monopile factory.

According to Fred van Beers, Sif Group’s CEO, “These developments illustrate that Sif not only prepares for the envisaged growth in Europe but also has a keen interest to play a key role as the leading monopile foundations manufacturer globally.”

In the last quarter, Sif manufactured its largest ever TPs for Dogger Bank B in the UK, as well as TP-less monopiles for Hollandse Kust Noord in the Netherlands.
